The world's most luxurious cruise ship arrives in Vietnam for the first time

DĐT– On June 17, the luxury cruise ship Quantum of the Seas with more than 6,000 tourists and crew members (from 59 different nationalities, mainly American, Australian, Japanese, Singaporean...) docked at Tan Cang Cái Mép port (Ba Ria-Vung Tau province).

This cruise group toured Ho Chi Minh City and Ba Ria–Vung Tau with tours designed and services provided by Saigontourist Travel Service Company. Quantum of the Seas (owned by Royal Caribbean International cruise group, USA) is designed as a floating 5-star hotel with cutting-edge technology, with a total tonnage of 168,666 tons, 18 decks high and a capacity of up to 4,905 passengers plus 1,500 crew members... This is considered one of the most modern and luxurious cruise ships in the world today.

General Director of Saigontourist Travel Service Company Vo Anh Tai said: The event of welcoming the Quantum of the Seas demonstrates that Vietnam has sufficient capacity to receive large, high-end cruise ships. Given the strong growth trend of cruise tourism worldwide today, to increase attractiveness and competitiveness, Vietnam needs to invest in upgrading cruise tourism infrastructure, diversify tour products; continuously improve service provision capacity for international cruise passengers. In addition, there is a need to improve policies, more flexible entry procedures along with measures to ensure security and safety for large cruise groups during their tours and exploration of Vietnam.

On its first visit to Vietnam, the Quantum of the Seas cruise group will be received by Saigontourist, which will provide tourism services along with sightseeing activities, exploration, and culinary experiences in Ho Chi Minh City and Ba Ria – Vung Tau. The Quantum of the Seas will conclude its tour programs in Vietnam and depart from Tan Cang Cái Mép port at the end of June 17, continuing its voyage to Hong Kong (China).
