On the afternoon of June 23, 2023, the Dong Nai Customs Department held the 2023 Customs–Business Dialogue Conference. Attendees included Vo Tan Duc, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, along with leaders and representatives of the Japanese, Korean, and Taiwanese business associations, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), provincial departments and agencies, and nearly 200 leaders and representatives of import-export enterprises in the province.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Vo Tan Duc, Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, noted that although Dong Nai's economy has been significantly affected by global fluctuations in recent times, thanks to the solidarity and support of the local government and the efforts of the business community to overcome difficulties, the operations of enterprises in the province have remained largely stable.
"Under the motto 'the government accompanies businesses,' the Dong Nai provincial government is committed to always standing alongside enterprises, continuing to step up and focus on improving the investment and business environment, and listening to and addressing the difficulties, obstacles, feedback, and recommendations of the business community," Mr. Vo Tan Duc affirmed.
According to Ms. Phung Thi Bich Huong, at this conference, in addition to providing information on new customs policies and laws, the Dong Nai Customs Department and relevant departments and agencies hope to continue listening to the opinions, sharing, and feedback of associations, chapters, and enterprises. On that basis, the customs authority and state management agencies can devise solutions to further improve management effectiveness while supporting businesses better and better. This will help foster a sustainable partnership and cooperation between state management agencies and enterprises, so that together they can fulfill their tasks and contribute to the common development of enterprises, industries, localities, and the whole country.

At the dialogue, many import-export enterprises raised questions and concerns regarding regulations on: origin of goods; the duration of processing contracts; fire prevention and fighting and environmental appraisals; and policies and opportunities for enterprises to invest in Dong Nai, among other issues. The presiding panel that chaired the conference provided satisfactory answers.

At the conference, Mr. Phan Anh Tuan, Director of Tan Cang Long Binh ICD Joint Stock Company, introduced the Tan Cang Long Binh Inland Container Depot, its services, and the benefits of clearing import-export goods at the depot. According to the company, many enterprises in Dong Nai that handle import-export cargo at the Tan Cang Long Binh depot can save 20% to 30% in transport costs and cut container handling time by 50% compared with handling at gateway ports, in addition to enjoying various other incentives from Tan Cang Saigon Corporation.
