Over 15 years of construction and development, ICD Tân Cảng - Long Bình has made its mark with proud achievements and affirmed its brand in the logistics market of the Southern region in particular and the whole country in general.
Established on August 7, 2007, and after two years of infrastructure construction, ICD Tân Cảng - Long Bình Joint Stock Company (ICDLB) officially commenced operations on August 7, 2009. Under the leadership of the Party Committee, the Board of Directors of Saigon Newport Corporation and relevant functional agencies, the Board of Directors and staff of the Company have always been united, consensual, dedicated, responsible and highly determined.
At the beginning, the Company had only 32 staff members, and infrastructure was under construction and newly built. However, through the outstanding efforts of all staff and employees and long-term development orientation, after 15 years of construction and development, the number of staff, employees and workers has now exceeded 300 members with high professional qualifications and capacity, fully meeting the development needs of the company.
In parallel with the development of the warehouse system, with the support of Saigon Newport Corporation, the operation and investment in the depot yard have also been emphasized. Currently, with the presence of shipping lines such as Yang Ming, Cosco, Hapag Lloyd... which have cooperated and opened codes for empty container positioning at ICDLB depot, this has contributed to making the container pick-up/drop-off activities at ICDLB increasingly active and helping to facilitate and reduce costs for customers with stuffing operations in nearby industrial parks.
In addition, implementing cooperation and partnerships with partners with strong capital (Sonadeizi, Công Thành), potential customers prepaying rent to build modern, advanced warehouse systems with high competitiveness, anticipating customer trends. Proactively implementing measures to improve service quality and customer care quality; introducing warehouse management software into operation; establishing an internal control board for risk management and cost control; forming a promotion team to review and renew standard processes at departments to ensure synchronization in the production chain. Therefore, annual costs have decreased by 2%, equivalent to savings of about 3 billion VND. Implementing flexible and effective business policies oriented towards customers; basic economic indicators each year have increased by 6 to 10% compared to the previous year.
Along with the development of services and infrastructure, coupled with the increasingly high requirements of the market and customers, the leadership has also introduced investment plans for professional and effective management software, built the ISO 9001 system and continuously improved service quality... to increasingly better meet the needs of partners and customers.
Not only reflected in area figures, the operating revenue of ICD Tân Cảng - Long Bình over the years has also continuously grown. In the general context of recent years with prolonged epidemics and many business difficulties, however, with the determination and unity of the entire staff and the timely wise direction of the leadership, ICD Tân Cảng - Long Bình has still achieved its set business production goals, ensured correct adherence to the initial orientation, and excellently completed financial targets. In particular, in 2021, revenue reached 508.1 billion VND, up 16.1% compared to the same period and up 4.8% compared to the plan; profit after tax increased 12.6% compared to the same period and increased 5.2% compared to the annual plan; state budget contributions increased 5.2% compared to the annual plan; well ensuring employment, income and living standards for employees.
During the process of construction, operation and development, ICD Tân Cảng - Long Bình, in addition to performing economic and defense tasks, has well addressed internal relationships, military-civilian unity, performed well mass mobilization work inside and outside the unit, closely coordinated and cooperated with local agencies, government and mass organizations, contributing to maintaining political security and social order and safety in the stationed area; organized twinning and exchanges, did well in propagating the position, role, legal basis, and the viewpoints of the Party and State regarding the sovereignty of the Fatherland's seas and islands to officials and people of Long Bình Ward, Phước Tân Ward, Biên Hòa City.
Economically: contributing to building and contributing to the economic development of the province, creating employment for many workers, building many charity houses for policy families in difficulty in the area. Linking unit safety construction with area safety.
On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of its establishment (August 7, 2007 - August 7, 2022), the company was honored to be awarded the Second-Class Labor Order by the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, recognizing the efforts and endeavors of generations of staff and employees over 15 years of construction, development and growth.
