On 06/01/2023, the Ministry of Transport issued a decision to announce the opening of Tan Cang Long Binh inland container depot phase 1 at 10 Phan Dang Luu Street, Quarter 7, Long Binh Ward, Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai Province. This inland container depot has a phase 1 area of 24.8 ha and is developed by ICD Tan Cang - Long Binh Joint Stock Company as the investor.
The Ministry of Transport has assigned the investor to operate, provide commercial services and carry out import-export customs procedures for goods at the inland container depot in accordance with Government Decree No. 38/2017/ND-CP dated April 4, 2017; and to fulfill the responsibilities and exercise the rights of a port operating enterprise as prescribed by regulations.
ICD Tan Cang - Long Binh Joint Stock Company may only commence port operations when all procedures have been completed in accordance with regulations and for the proper purposes, in line with the investment phases, and ensuring safety, security, fire and explosion prevention, and environmental pollution prevention.
The investor is responsible for operating and maintaining the facilities and items in accordance with the layout and area of phase 1 as announced and with current regulations; any cases of renovation, expansion or change in the nature of use of facilities must be reported to the competent authority as prescribed.
The Ministry of Transport requests specialized state management agencies to exercise specialized state management at Tan Cang Long Binh Inland Container Depot in accordance with Decree No. 38/2017/ND-CP and relevant legal regulations.
The Ministry of Transport assigns the Vietnam Maritime Administration to inspect and supervise the operations of the inland container depot in accordance with Decree No. 38/2017/ND-CP and relevant legal regulations.
ICD Tan Cang - Long Binh currently has an operating area of 105ha, including 30 warehouses with a total area of nearly 500,000m2 built to high standards, serving various functions such as bonded warehouse, domestic warehouse, CFS warehouse, distribution warehouse, cool warehouse, cold warehouse, dangerous chemicals warehouse, and warehouses specially designed according to customer requirements.
In March 2010, the Centralized Inspection Point at ICD Tan Cang - Long Binh was inaugurated and officially commenced operations under Decision 206/QD-TCHQ of the General Department of Customs, Ministry of Finance, with a total area of 3ha including the Cargo Inspection Zone and Yard Area, allowing 100 vehicles of all types to park simultaneously, and permitting convenient stuffing/unstuffing of goods between trucks and containers.
